Eight Kinds of Why

Which kind of “why” is your friend asking?

Grief?
Frustration?
Dead end?
Desperation?
Statement?
Curiosity?
Desire?

Almost none of them have answers that easily satisfy – at the time of the cry.

But…
Love is patient…

Love can sit beside with its arms around.
(Grief)

Love can sit beside and wait for a moment to pass.
(Frustration)

Love can pray and point while on mute.
(Dead end – plus some)

Love can give an answer if it has it and hug when it doesn’t.
(Desperation)

Love can let someone be wrong or recognise the harder way is their freedom to choose.
(Statement)

Love can support, tilt a face and encourage to take a step.
(Curiosity)

Love can seek to meet what’s needed.
(Desire)
