The roots of a tree by a stream have a constant life source. The roots of a well-established tree will go deeper in search of the source in times of drought. And deep roots will hold a tree when storms rage.
We can learn to thank God for the dry seasons that force our roots deeper. They are strengthening for the storms.
Where is our delight? Where is our confidence? Where is our trust? On what is the meditation of our heart? With whom do we walk?
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
