Though sometimes they might look it.
Frequently they feel it.
But it all depends on the from and the to.

When a passion becomes more to me than the God who gave it
– it is an idol.
When an interest control me rather than the God who indwells me
– it is an idol
When the good I seek to do surpasses my relationship with Him
– it is an idol
