What makes me smile the most?
My family
What makes me laugh the most?
My family
Who occupies my head the most?
My family
What makes me ache the most?
My family
What makes me cry the most?
My family
For whom do I hope the most?
My family
Who most keeps me at my Fathers knee?
My family.
A partial creed
I believe in love
I believe in fidelity
I believe in faithfulness
I believe in trust
I believe in humility
I believe in forgiveness
I believe in knowing what you’re worth
And in knowing what you’re not worth
Real life valentines
My mum and dad are my life heroes for a great many reasons and marriage I think, pretty much tops the list. They have been my measure in so many ways. As far as marriage goes, if I can’t imagine them being something, saying something or doing something, it simply doesn’t belong. I have rarely seen the same levels of respect and gentleness and regard for the good of the other. They treat each other like valentines every day.

Every now and then, one of those ‘letters from God’ does the email rounds… I always feel a bit reserved/dubious about them so about 10 years ago I did a bunch of searching through the Scriptures and put together this one…

It DOES happen so fast!!! When I was a brand new mum it used to so get up my nose when older mums told me to cherish it as it would go by so fast… the remark STILL gets up my nose – the way I am made IS to cherish it – never needed to be told it – I have so loved these years of mothering and newborn is still my favourite stage.
