When the nurse showed me the speci-jar containing the gall stones they’d removed – they were exactly the colour of gravel with similar shapes in graded in sizes as they’d nested alongside each other as they grew for many years… the size of conkers all the way down to a dehydrated pea. When our kids teacher brought hers to school for the kindy kids post-surgery, they were all pea sized and gravel coloured. When a friend had hers out – they were chick-pea size, faceted, greenish/brownish, similar sized – and pretty – like beads!
Would I have worn them?
Hmm… wellllllll no.
That’s kinda gross.
But not as gross as another piece of body jewellery I see around a lot, and once also wore.
It’s a piece of stinking, rotting, partially dried circlet of foreskin on a chain around a neck with ‘humility’ scratched upon the bail.

Friends it’s revolting and it holds us back from truth.
That thing got cut away from your heart for a reason – it’s time to let it go to the incinerator.
The heart is deceitfully wicked above all things – PRE Jesus.
It’s not humility to claim it’s still your master.
The deceitful heart does NOT have the last word.
Jesus does!
Our hearts are circumcised… made new… turned from stone to flesh… whichever ‘picture’ we roll with it’s a new game once Jesus is on the throne of the heart.
One problem is the unrenewed mind – if old patterns arise, we think those things are still who we are – but they’re not. We have to continue to renew our minds and not unmake the work of the gospel for there is a Whisperer who wants to make you believe you’re not a new creation and that the Cross achieved less than it did.
If a caterpillar doesn’t make a cocoon when it’s time to transform it will dehydrate and die never fulfilling its design… If you identify as a worm you’ll live like a worm. It won’t make you a worm but it’ll stop you knowing the fullness of what you were actually made to be and of His completed work on your behalf.
If you’re already in covenant with Him, get rid of that stinky pendant – it’s not humility. It’s a double switch deception.
Eze 36: 24-26 “ ‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh…”
Col 2:9-12 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
