Deconstructing fear

Fear has ingredients. It isn’t just it’s own thing. A baby will crawl without hesitation over a glass floor with a deep drop beneath it. A toddler will not… their depth perception has developed and they’ll have had some experience now with falling.

Fear might come from past experience or from lack of past experience or expectation of future undesirable outcome.

Fear might come from self righteousness… not having learned yet that your swimming in grace.

It might come from not having learned yet what isn’t yours to control.

Or thinking more rides on an action than does, or that God will scrap you if you don’t get it right.

What other ingredients can you name?
