Parenting in the slipstream #2

Just saw an ad on telly for a new series “the Bible”. Miss Nearly 15 comments that I won’t like it.

Was just thinking how few of those kinds of productions I do like at the moment she said it so I laughed and asked her why she thinks that. She answered “because it won’t be accurate and will send the wrong message”. More than loving the fact she knows those things are important to me, I love that as a result they’ll be in her mind if we actually do watch it.

Years ago I wrote a worksheet called “learn to discern” (check freebies page) to help kids do just that with their viewing. I don’t think she’s ever set eyes on that sheet. Smiling at her. Wry smile at self.
