See

SEE

1

See yourself.
See yourself standing in your spot on the planet.
See yourself in your spot on the planet
as a singular dot existing in a sphere of time.
See your dot on the planet in the sphere of time within another sphere
called “the lower heavens”.
See your dot on the planet in its place in time in the lower heavens
in the never-ending multi-dimension called eternity.

2

See yourself with all your relationships and interactions and problems.
See yourself pressed, wrestling, fighting, confused,
struggling to manage and know what to do.

3

See Satan.
See Satan has power.
See Satan has dominion and rule.
See Satan has dominion and rule in a set place
See Satan has power for a set of reasons and for a set time.
See Satan’s rule had a beginning, it has an end.  It is real. It isn’t forever.
See him called “The Prince of the Power of the Air”.
The Prince of Darkness.
The god of this age.
With a little ‘g’.
See him called
Thief; Accuser; Enemy; Adversary; Deceiver;
Liar; Lawless, a roaring lion; and an Angel of Light

4

See
See what Satan is
See  what  Satan  is  not.
See that Satan is a created being.
See God created an angel who grew in pride and coveted worship.
See that he exalted himself, was cast out of heaven and down to the earth.
The bringer of choice.
See that he is a singular being.
See that he is not omnipotent, not omnipresent.
See that he is not the yin to God’s yang.
Not an equal.
Not an equal opposing force.
See that he is powerful but contained,
real but lesser,
free to act with limits for a season
which is drawing to a close.

4

See
See God.
See that God is Creator.
See that God is Creator, Author, Ruler, King.
See that He who created all things, including time, owns it, rules it,
See that He knows the end from the beginning.
He already wrote it.
He’s already seen it.

Seeing through a glass darkly is our portion for now,
but one day the mist will clear and we will know as we are known.

5

See
See His Promise.
See His promise to send a Saviour
See Him promise to return
See Jesus.
See?

6

See
See His promises.
“By a roadway in the wilderness I will lead you”
“I will make a way where there seems to be no way”
“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known;
along unfamiliar paths I will guide them”
“I will turn the darkness into light before them
and make the rough places smooth”
“These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them”

See from eternity planned
to
Eternity future
He has made a way
Through the dimness of this present age
He shines a lamp for our feet
And a light on the path
So we will find
The Way
to go.

*

For God, who said,
“Let light shine out of darkness,”
made his light shine in our hearts to give us
the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay
to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
We are hard pressed on every side,
but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus,
so that the life of Jesus may also be
revealed in our body.

**

Finally,
be strong in the Lord
and in his mighty power.
Put on the full armour of God,
so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the authorities,
against the powers of this dark world
and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes,
you may be able to stand your ground,
and after you have done everything, to stand.
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,
with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
and with your feet fitted with the readiness
that comes from the gospel of peace.
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith,
with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions
with all kinds of prayers and requests.
 With this in mind,
be alert and always keep on praying
for all the Lord’s people.
