Don’t Stay Stuck

Over the years as different issues have arisen, I’ve sought out different counsellors to help work some things through. Why? because it’s sensible when you’ve come to the end of what you know, to get outside input… sometimes life throws curving curling issues at you – and sometimes several at once.

I’ve been blessed to have many wonderful mentor people in my life, but sometimes there are reasons why even a close and trusted friend/mentor mightn’t be the best person to go to. Are they too close? Are they experienced? Will they be confidential?

As for counsellors, I’ve seen some duds. And I’ve seen some rippa’s.

Well – it’s probably a bit unfair to label someone a dud – so I will just say – they were not a good fit for me.

I want wisdom. I want perspective.

I want gospel.

I want help to figure THAT out and see how to live, move, walk and breathe HIM in and out.

I am very relaxed about having had this need in my own life known. There’s nothing shameful about not knowing how to move forward on something tricky or multi-faceted or never-before-faced. But as I chat to people there is still a bit of reluctance sometimes evidenced from others and I want to do what I can to remove that reluctance… but the reluctance is also multi-faceted… who is good? Who can be trusted? Who can be afforded?

So here I want to recommend two counsellor/friends who’ve been of help to me personally. Trusted, wonderful, affordable.

If you’re feeling stuck… sad… panicked… wobbly… please get some help. Maybe at this stage it’s a friend you need… choose wisely. Maybe at the stage it’s someone trained that can help move you forwards.
